The Technical University of Liberec offers training in promising specialties in the textile and clothing industry.

Faculty of Art and Architecture

Bachelor’s degree specialties

Submission of the application—until November 30. Entrance exams—in January-February

There is training in 3 specialties: “Architecture”, “Visual Communication”, “Environment Design”.

Architecture

Entrance exams are held in 3 rounds.

Round 1 is a homework passing.

Round 2 consists of a written, visual, and architectural part. The writing part consists of 1) a test in the history of art and architecture and general knowledge in the culture, 2) a test in mathematics. The visual part consists of a drawing based on a model and a spatial composition on a given theme. The architectural part consists of a small architectural task.

Round 3 is an interview on works.

35 persons shall be are enrolled.

  • Visual Communication

The entrance exam consists of 2 rounds. In the first round, you need to turn in your homework.

The second round consists of a written and a visual part. The writing part consists of a contemporary art test.

The visual part consists of a drawing based on a model, a small and a large composition on a given topic, and an interview with an applicant.

10 persons shall be are enrolled.

Environment Design

The entrance exam consists of 2 rounds.

The first round is the homework passing in the specialty. Next, you need to do a reflection on a given topic, to write a General Learning Prerequisites Test, and to complete a small task.

The second round consists of a design assignment and an interview.

10 persons shall be are enrolled.

Faculty of Textile Engineering

Bachelor’s degree specialties

  • Design of Textiles and Clothing

Enrollment of applicants for all specialties, except for the “Design of Textiles and Clothing”, is carried out without exams.

Admission to the “Design of Textiles and Clothing”

Application submission—until February 28 (round 2—until July 31). Entrance exams take place in March. You need to pass at least 15 homeworks (head, figures, objects, still lifes, and nature).

The creative exam consists of 3 tasks: painting composition (A2); spatial composition of paper on a given topic; drawing of a still life (minimum A1).
