Vysoká škola kreativní komunikace (VŠKK)
The University of creative communication prepares students to work in all areas of creative activities. Students become in-demand journalists, copywriters, PR specialists, moderators, graphic designers and photographers under the guidance of practical teachers.
There are studies under Bachelor’s degree programme specialties “Literary Arts”, “Visual Arts” and “Marketing communication”.
- The university works closely with advertising agencies, graphic design studios, and publishing firms. Students work on real orders in the course of studies already.
- The process of education is based on the Scandinavian and British schools model. During the period of studies, you will get not only knowledge and skills, but also practical experience and contacts.
- It is the only educational institution in the Czech Republic, providing higher education in creative writing.
- The duration of studies in all specialties is 3 years. Students get a bachelor degree upon graduation.

Literary Arts
There is training in the “Creative writing” specialty within the bachelor’s degree program of “Literary Arts”.
Training takes place in creative writing workshops where well-known writers, screenwriters, publicists and copywriters hold classes. Students learn to write, analyze, and edit artistic, journalistic, or advertising text.
Graduates become journalists, writers, screenwriters, editors, copywriters, moderators, and PR specialists. The program includes advanced English courses. Students study European and Czech literature, literary theory, poetics, modern Czech language, history of art and culture, fundamentals of philosophy and aesthetics as well.
Visual Arts
Training in 3 areas of specialization is provided within the “Visual Arts” specialty: “Graphic design and media”, “3D animation and visual effects”, “Photography and audiovisual art”.

Graphic design and media
Heads of graphic design and media studios cooperate with the Association of communication agencies and the Art Directors Club, so that students work together with the leading Czech and foreign graphic designers and art Directors.
Head of the graphic design studio and media – graphic designer and art Director of MOTOR design Studio, Prokop Sirotek, author of the visual style of Václav Havel Airport Prague, ČSOB Bank, Hypoteční banky and other major Czech companies.
Students learn to work as experts in computer programs for image creating and post-processing, study online communication and branding. Students participate in the preparation of printed and electronic publications and interactive projects during their studies.
Students acquire the necessary drawing skills, master the principles of composition and the basics of typography, study the theory and history of modern art, the history of graphic design and visual culture.

3D animation and visual effects
Students gain knowledge and skills to work in animation studios, game and special effects development studios, and advertising companies. Students collaborate with animation and post-production studios in their first year of studies already.
The curriculum includes studying the Nuke and Maya 3D programs, run by the world’s leading animation studios. Students study concept art, digital painting, and matte painting in addition to digital technology.
Graduates become VFX specialists, 3D animators, game designers, and motion-graphics designers.

Photography and audiovisual art
During the period of studies, you will develop your visual style and modern digital technologies skills. Students study the basic rules of working with composition and light, the principles of working on a brief, the basics of prepress and digital image and sound processing. The program includes studying the history of photography and audiovisual culture. Recognized photographers lead the creative courses. The best students have a chance to complete an internship abroad. In particular, the University of creative communication cooperates with the New York Film Academy.
Marketing communication
Training in 3 areas of specialization is done within the “Marketing communication” specialty: “Creative marketing”, “Management in creative industry”, “Online marketing”.

Creative marketing
Thanks to cooperation of teachers of the specialty with the Association of communication agencies, students observe at first hand the activities of the leading advertising companies and test in practice what they learn in the university.
Students develop knowledge and skills in various creative disciplines (graphics, photography, audiovisual art, 3D animation, creative writing), study the latest trends in marketing communication, and get acquainted with the well-known advertising campaigns. Teachers help students develop creative thinking and perform efficient communication in online and offline media. The subjects under study comprise the online marketing, basics of business, brand theory, market research, digital platforms and Internet trends, marketing and web analytics, start – up preparation.

Management in creative industry
Students study the theory and practice of advertising (classical and online), film, television, and radio. Teachers help students learn to think creatively and innovatively, as well as bring their projects to life.
Students study management in the creative industry, law and ethics in commercial communication, online marketing, basics of business, brand theory, market research, Internet trends, web Analytics, media strategies, and start-up preparation. Graduates work in marketing, communication, online and media agencies.

Online marketing
Students learn how to use the advantages of online media in commercial communication.
The program focuses on studying web technologies and digital advertising formats. Students make use of online advertising networks, analyze user behavior on web pages, study current trends in social media, principles of mobile marketing and experimental technologies (virtual reality, artificial intelligence). The subjects under study include online marketing, fundamentals of codes.
Entrance exams
Entrance exams have a form of motivational interviews with teachers and managers of the areas of specializations.
During the interview, the Commission gets acquainted with your completed works and plans for future projects.
Applicants for the “Literary Arts” / “Creative writing” specialty have to submit their own text of any genre on any topic (2-3 standard pages maximum). Applicants for the “Visual Arts” program specialties have to take the examples of their works (graphics, photography, video, animation) to the interview.
