The University of Pardubice is a modern institution of higher education that links technical and social sciences. The most popular faculties of this university are the Faculty of Transport Engineering and the Faculty of Restoration.
In 1945, the Higher Chemical School in Pardubice was founded. For 40 years, the University of Pardubice was focused only on chemical technology. Faculty of Restoration
The Faculty of Restoration is located in the town of Litomyšl near the picturesque castle complex. The faculty has modern studios and prepares the students for a professional career as a restorer of decorative and applied arts. The bachelor’s program is designed for 4 years of study. Applicants choose one of four specializations:
- Restoration of works of stone, stucco, terracotta and artificial stone
- Restoration of wall paintings, sgraffito and mosaics
- Restoration of works made of paper, book bindings and documents
- Restoration of decorative and applied art made of paper, textiles, parchment and polychrome objects made of papier-mâché
Applications must be submitted until May 7, entrance exams are held in mid-June. Entrance exams are held in two stages. The first stage is a test in the basics of art history, the basics of chemistry, general knowledge in the field of culture and general prerequisites for training, and a portfolio competition. The second stage is a creative exam and an interview.
Master’s program specialties:

Faculty of Health Studies
Submission of applications: by February 28. The entrance exam is a human biology test.
