One of the biggest benefits of studying here in the Czech Republic is that opportunity to take advantage of free education.

Many of the colleges and universities here are ranked some of the best in the world, and if you study in the Czech language, education is free for everyone – including non-EU citizens.

There are 45,000 international students at Czech universities, of which 38,000 are studying free of charge. We are one of very few countries in Europe where applicants from non-EU countries enter the universities on equal footing with EU citizens.

You are, of course, able to choose to study in a different language (English being the next most popular), however you will be liable to pay if this is the case.

There are no restrictions on how many degrees you can study for in the Czech Republic, as long as you do it in the native language, they will always be offered to you for free. It also doesn’t matter if you have existing degrees in other countries – your eligibility here will not be affected.

Education in the Czech Republic is free at all levels, whether you’re studying for a bachelor’s, master’s or doctorate. This includes the standard period of study plus one year (with the standard generally being between 3-5 years, depending on the type of degree).
