The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague, is the largest chemistry university not only in the Czech Republic, but throughout Central and Eastern Europe.

  • The university was founded in 1952 and has a rich history. A number of world-renowned chemists, including the Nobel Prize winners in chemistry, taught at the faculties of UCT Prague.

Admission to the Bachelor’s degree programs at UCT takes place without exams. Applicants are admitted based on their grades in chemistry and mathematics for the last four years of high school.

Foreign applicants are required to pass an exam in the Czech language at the UCT Department of Languages. The exam consists of a written test at the B2 SERR level, which includes natural sciences terminology, and an interview that tests knowledge of basic terminology in chemistry and mathematics. The Czech language exam takes place in mid-June.
