A. Why Prague University of Economics and Business

The Prague University of Economics and Business (Vysoká škola ekonomická v Praze – VSE) is the largest university of Economics in the Czech Republic, with a tradition spanning more than 60 years. Ranked among the top 3 B-Schools in CEE, it offers EPAS accredited programs and is a proud member of CEMS, EQUIS and PIM. The university offers courses in Finance, Accounting, Management, Enterprise Management, Art Management and International Relations.

B. Admission Process

International students, in order to be admitted to the entrance exams of Prague University of Economics and Business, should successfully pass the Czech language exam. VŠE does not accept any certificates and always conducts its own exam in Czech. Students need to write a test in the Czech language for at least 60%. The entrance exams themselves consist of a test in mathematics and a test in English (when entering the Faculty of International Relations, you will need to take another European language).

The preparatory program includes Czech language course with basic Economics vocabulary and specialized training for entrance exam.

  • 870 Czech language lessons from zero to B2 level
  • 150 classes of specialized training consisting of courses on:
  • Mathematics and English
  • Primer on Economics and Economic terminology

Program Modules

B2 Level Czech language training

The module is aimed at Czech language training for B2 level proficiency. Teachers are linguists and native speakers. The special program has been expanded with work with tutorials of Czech for economists, tutorials of economics, and current economic periodicals.

Intensive Training for Exams

Starting from the 2nd semester, Czech language classes are supplemented with intensive preparation for entrance exams in mathematics, English, and further studies at VŠE. Specialized training consists courses on :
