Liberec — a place of winter sports

The city of Liberec itself, located about a hundred kilometers up to the north from Czech capital Prague, could be quite an attractive destination. It is surrounded by charming nature, which provides great possibilities for sport activities. Ski resort Ještěd is located right on the edge of the city, and the Jizera mountains, heaven for cross-country skiing, are very close. This makes Liberec a major tourist destination.
